Final cleaning of the holiday home: do not spend your last holiday on cleaning
The holiday is coming to an end, the sun is shining, and the last day in the summer house should be spent on the beach or the terrace. Yet many people end up spending the final hours washing floors, doing dishes and dusting, because the home has to be handed back clean. It does not have to be that way. What is final cleaning?
Final cleaning is the cleaning that has to be done when you leave a rented holiday home. Most owners and agencies require the home to be handed back cleaned, either by doing it yourself or by paying for it to be done. The requirements are set out in the rental agreement or in the house folder, and they can vary from home to home. In some places final cleaning is included in the rent, in others you have to arrange it yourself or add it on.
What does a final cleaning include?
A typical final cleaning means the home is handed back the way you would want to find it on arrival: floors washed, kitchen and appliances clean, dishes put away, bathroom cleaned, rubbish out, and beds and furniture back in place. Oven, fridge and extractor hood are often included, and many agencies have a checklist to follow. If the cleaning is not approved, the owner can charge a fee, so it pays to have it done properly.
Does the guest have to arrange the final cleaning?
Yes, in many cases it is the guest's responsibility. If your rental requires you to arrange the final cleaning yourself, we can handle it for you. We follow the standard and checklist the owner expects, so the home is approved and you avoid a deduction or an unpleasant message after the holiday. You do not need to stand there with a bucket and cloth on departure day.

It is simple: give us the address, the departure day and the check-out time, and tell us what the owner requires. Then we come and do the final cleaning after you have left, or while you pack the last few things.
