This blog is not the only place we share advice. Every week we post small, usable cleaning tips, before and afters from real jobs and seasonal guides on social media. It is the easiest way to pick up a bit of inspiration while you are scrolling anyway, without having to go looking for it.
What we share
We keep it practical and down to earth. You can expect:

- Seasonal guides, such as preparing the holiday home before the season or a deep clean after a busy summer.
- Small updates on what we are doing around West Jutland.
The idea is not to fill your feed but to give you something you can actually use. A good before and after says more than many words, and a single tip in the right week can save you a lot of trouble.
The year on this coast, week by week
The reason we follow a fixed rhythm is that cleaning in a holiday home area is not the same job all year. There are four clear periods and each asks for something different.
January to March is the low season and the only time you can take as long as it takes. This is where deep cleaning, descaling, the oven and the insides of cupboards belong, and it is also when damp and mould get found while they are still a cloth rather than a tradesman. Our posts in that period are about the thorough work that cannot be reached on a Saturday in July.
April to May is spring preparation. Houses need airing, the windows need a whole winter of salt taken off, mattresses need turning and the terrace needs getting ready. It is our busiest month after high season, and it is also when most owners discover they left it slightly too late.
June to August is changeovers. It is about getting everything done between two guests, so the tips are about speed and order: what to start first, what can be skipped, and what is never skipped.
September to December is shutdown and house checks. Frost protection, damp, mice, gutters and the things that get expensive if nobody looks in all winter.
The tips people use most
Some posts get saved and shared again and again, and they are rarely the clever ones. They are the dull ones that solve a problem people have had for years without knowing there was an answer.
- The squeegee in the shower. Twenty seconds after each shower removes most of the limescale problem, because scale forms when water dries on a surface.
- Never wipe a sandy pane dry. Sand acts as an abrasive and makes micro-scratches that never come out.
- Citric acid rather than vinegar for limescale. Stronger, cheaper and odourless.
- Traps that dry out are the cause of drain smells in a house that is otherwise clean.
- Switch the fridge off with the door ajar, not closed, if the house is to stand empty.
What they have in common is that they take under a minute and prevent an hour later.
Why before and after beats a description
A photo of an oven before and after says in a second what three paragraphs cannot. It is also the most honest way to show what you get: there is nowhere to hide in a photograph of an extractor hood.
We never show anything that could identify a house or a customer. No addresses, no facades, no number plates, and never a picture of somebody's home without asking. That is a fixed rule here, and it applies even when the result is impressive.
